“A Spider’s Travels,” book series sprang from Jen’s deep passion for travel and adventure. Italy held a special place in her heart, leading her to believe that the best way to truly experience its culture was to move there. She enrolled in an ESL teaching program in Rome and the rest, as they say, is history! Among her many aspirations, she dreamed of becoming a travel writer and photographer for Condé Nast magazine.
After selling all of her possessions, she made her third move to Italy, settling this time in Milan. While teaching conversational ESL to children and adults, she met a student who would become a dear friend and who happened to work for Vanity Fair, Condé Nast’s sister publication. Jen soon realized that such a career path demanded considerably more education and connections, so she tabled that ambition. Not long after, the concept for book #1 emerged and she enthusiastically dove into developing her main character, Clarkson. There she was, a travel writer afterall and inspiring children to explore the world became her ultimate fulfillment.
